Mitch Kamen works with enamel on copper using two primary themes
of bold figures and dramatic color burst abstracts. The enamel is literally a
fused layer of glass to metal, the trick is to develop a glass that contracts
enough to keep pace with the cooling metal so that it doesn't crack or pop
off. Enameling has been used for hundreds of years to create dramatic and
important works of art.
