The nature of the overshot design is the development of a three dimensional
profile on a two dimensional surface, giving a rich texture to the touch. This
method of weaving dates back several hundred years and has found expression in
many European weaving traditions. The use of color in the pattern works off the
physical character of the weaving pattern, enhancing the depth of the work as it
plays with light. Marsha uses a wide range of fibers in her work allowing her to
range from wearable works to rugs and wall art.
