The fiber art of Suzanne R. Neusner is being featured at the Hudson Valley Arts Center. Nationally known for her abstract and geometric quilt work, Suzanne brings to play many different techniques to create a unique feel and look to her work.
Receiving her formal training in traditional fine art, she moved into fiber adding a sculptural element to her work. Extending from expression to function her work includes such items as "huppahs" (Marriage canopies). The work exhibited in April carry a Judaic theme covering a range of working techniques from tapestry to quilting. It generates a unique blend of culture and expression in a complex medium, that makes her work stand out. She has been sought out for her expertise on such nationally televised programs "Home and Garden TV", Simply Quilts.
